2025 has been a year of continued momentum for Wyboston Lakes Resort as we deepen our commitment to responsible business, sustainability, and community impact.
Over the past year, we have continued to embed Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into every aspect of how we operate. From energy transition and biodiversity initiatives to investment in our people and supply chain engagement. Sustainability is no longer a separate programme — it is integral to our strategy and decision-making.
Our renewable energy journey continues to progress strongly. With over 3,200 solar panels now generating renewable energy across the resort, alongside continued improvements in energy efficiency and infrastructure, we remain on track to achieve Net Zero for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by the end of 2027.
Reducing our environmental footprint is only part of the story. In 2025 we also launched Room2Give, an initiative that demonstrates the power of behavioural sustainability. By inviting guests to opt out of room servicing and instead direct a donation to local charities, we created a simple but powerful mechanism for positive impact. In its first year alone, the initiative avoided 73 tonnes of CO2 emissions and raised more than £35,000 for three local charities, proving that small decisions can deliver meaningful environmental and social outcomes.
We continue to invest heavily in our people. Our Wyboston Walkways training programme, team engagement initiatives, and inclusive workplace culture ensure that our team members are supported to grow, thrive and build long-term careers within hospitality.
None of these achievements would be possible without the passion and commitment of our team. Their dedication continues to drive innovation, collaboration and progress across the resort.
As we look ahead, our focus remains clear: accelerating our journey to Net Zero, strengthening our supply chain partnerships to address Scope 3 emissions, and continuing to demonstrate that hospitality businesses can deliver exceptional experiences while creating lasting positive impact.
