Our renewable energy journey continues to progress strongly. With over 3,500 solar panels now generating renewable energy across the resort, alongside continued improvements in energy efficiency and infrastructure. We are reviewing our Scope 1 and 2 Net Zero target and will restate it in 2027, once we know the outcome of our wind turbine planning appeal, which is expected in January 2027. At the same time we will resubmit our science-based target to the SBTi. Our current target, validated in 2024, is to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030 from 2022, and by 2025 we had cut them by 26% (location-based). Our priority is to cut emissions on site as far as we can, and we will be open about any role offsetting plays in reaching Net Zero.
Reducing our environmental footprint is only part of the story. In 2025 we also launched Room2Give, an initiative that demonstrates the power of behavioural sustainability. By inviting guests to opt out of room servicing and instead direct a donation to local charities, we created a simple but powerful mechanism for positive impact. In its first year alone, the initiative raised £35,000 for three local charities, and reduced laundry, water, energy and chemical use. Better all round.
We continue to invest heavily in our people. Our Wyboston Walkways training programme, team engagement initiatives, and inclusive workplace culture ensure that our team members are supported to grow, thrive and build long-term careers within hospitality.
None of these achievements would be possible without the passion and commitment of our team. Their dedication continues to drive innovation, collaboration and progress across the resort.
As we look ahead, our focus remains clear: accelerating our journey to Net Zero, strengthening our supply chain partnerships to address Scope 3 emissions, and continuing to demonstrate that hospitality businesses can deliver exceptional experiences while creating lasting positive impact.
